Bunk Campers - Campervan Hire Ireland

 Bunk Campers basic rates for campervan hire include everything you need to get you on the road. The basic price we charge for a campervan for hire includes:

• Sales tax (VAT)
• Unlimited kilometers
• Insurance for one named driver over 25 years with a UK or Ireland driving licence
• Camping gas
• Kitchen kit
• Camping and campsite guide

When booking your campervan for hire on line you can also choose the following hireable extras and insurance options.

Extras for hire.

Bedding Kit. Our bedding kits for hire are singles and doubles. Rent a bedding kit, each kit includes a duvet, pillow, bedding and towel per person.

Outdoor Chairs. Ideal for sitting outside your campervan or taking onto the beach on those sunny Irish evenings!

Picnic Table. Outdoor table for al fresco dining, eating, drinking and playing card games.

GPS / Satellite Navigation. Don't trust the signposts! Hire a GPS and don't get lost on the roads of Ireland. Many of the campsites in our camping guides now have GPS coordinates. So, whether it is finding your way to your stop off or finding your way back to our depot to return your campervan for hire, this is the easiest way to find your way around.

Child Seats. You can hire the full range fo child seats from Group 0 upwards as part of your rental. All of our vehicles have at least 3 forward facing seats. Please contact us for more details prior to booking if you want to check the suitability of each our campervan types to child seats.

Insurance Options.

We offer a number of insurance options which allow you to reduce your insurance excess (like car hire), add an additional driver or pay the additional charges for young drivers or overseas licence charges.

Non UK / Ireland Driving Licence. If you do not hold a UK or Ireland driving licence, you must select this option for each driver in your party. This covers the additional costs of insurance for campervan hire for overseas drivers. These charges are also applicable to holders of international driving licences who want to hire a campervan. Our charges are among the lowest in Ireland.

Additional Driver. You can add up to one additional driver to your campervan hire.

Young Driver. If you are aged 21 to 24 years, you can still hire a campervan from Bunk Campers. (Please note if you are a full time student then the minimum age to hire a campervan is 23 years of age, we don't decide this, the insurance companies do!). You must select this option for each young driver in your party who wants to drive our campervans for hire.

Mature Driver. If you are aged 70 to 75 years, you can still hire a campervan from Bunk Campers. Many hire companies have restrictions on drivers who are over 70 years however we can provide cover subject to an additional premium. You must select this option for each mature driver in your party who wants to drive our campervans for hire.

50% Accident Excess Reduction. This optional insurance is a daily charge that reduces the accident excess on your campervan for hire by 50%. It reduces the cost of your liability for damage to the campervan or to a third party vehicle if you are involved in an accident in one of our campervans for hire.

Special Insurance Cover (Windscreen & Mirrors). This optional insurance extra is a single payment to give you a "no worries" option on your windcreen and mirrors. Even with careful driving there is a high chance of chips and cracks to windscreens and mirrors due to Ireland's small and narrow roads. We offer customers this option because we have found that a high percentage of damages to our campervans for hire are windcreen and mirror damages.

Please note: If you have endorsements or penalties on your licence, this may increase your insurance charges on your campervan hire. Please contact Bunk Campers directly for further details.

Other Options.

Airport Transfers. We charge a nominal amount per person for a return transfer from Belfast International, Belfast City or Dublin International airports to our campervan hire depots. Airport transfer charges cover the cost of the transport in our minibus and our rates are much cheaper than the equivalent taxi fares.

Early & Late Collection or Return. Our standard hours of opening at our campervan hire depots are 10:00am to 16:00hrs. If you want to collect or return your campervan out of hours, we offer this service. There is a fixed charge to cover this service listed in the booking options. These charges cover the cost of opening and staffing our campervan hire depots out of hours.

Sunday Collection or Return. We are the only rental company in ireland who open 7 days per week. There is an additonal fixed charge to cover a Sunday service listed in the booking options. These charges cover the cost of opening and staffing our campervan hire depots on Sundays.
