Remember, if you are considering car hire, motorhome hire or RV rental, the same rules apply!

1. What is the Basic Rental Rate?

At Bunk Campers, the Basic Rental Rate for campervan rental includes the stuff you have to pay for. Different companies price their campervan hire or motorhome hire in different ways. So, when you get your quote - look closer - don't be fooled by a cheap headline price! At Bunk Campers our basic prices include all of the following:

• VAT (Sales Tax)
• Insurance for one named driver with UK or Irish driving licence

If the basic price displayed on the website does not include VAT and insurance, then the basic price you pay could be a lot more expensive than the headline price that you read on a website.

2. On the Road - going the extra mile!

Make sure you know what you are getting to keep you on the road! Unlimited mileage and breakdown recovery are included as standard in campervan hire with most companies in the UK and Ireland. Here at Bunk Campers, we go the extra mile and give you an out of hours helpline that works 7 days a week in case you need our help. You will always get a knowledgeable member of the Bunk Campers team to help keep you on the road. At Bunk Campers our campervan hire rates for campervan rental include:

• Breakdown Recovery

3. Campervan rentals, not camping in Cars!

Some campervans aren't as Wicked as ours! When we talk about great value campervan hire, budget campervan hire or cheap campervan hire we mean value for money not cheap vehicles. Our smallest and best value campervan for people on a tight budget is the Roadie. This is our cheapest campervan for hire and we offer:

• a proper campervan with a professional campervan conversion
• proper facilites that you can you can live, cook, sleep and eat in
• a sink not a basin!
• a 2-3 burner gas hob, not a portable camping stove!
• a fridge, not a cool box!
• campervan heating in the campervan cabin, not car heating!

Watch out for cheap campervan hire that means an old or cheap vehicle, often a car or people carrier with a camping stove in the boot or trunk! Don't be fooled by the limitations of campervan imitations.

4. Campervan Collection & Return Times

At Bunk Campers, when you have paid for your campervan for a day it is yours for a day! We rent campervans by the day so that you can pick up and drop off between our normal opening hours:

• opening times of 10am and 4pm

If you want to collect or return your campervan for hire earlier or later in the day then there is a fixed charge to cover opening and closing the depot out of hours.

Some companies will request that you return your vehicle before 10am and pick it up after 4pm. If you want to pick up or return outside of these restrictions, you could end up paying up to 2 days extra rental for your campervan hire!

5. Road Tolls and other extra charges

There are currently only five toll roads in Ireland. At four of these toll roads, you pay locally at the toll booth.

• We do not charge customers any up front fees for toll roads in our campervan hire pricing
• You can choose which toll roads to use and pay locally

To speed up traffic and reduce congestion the Dublin M50 toll road does not operate a pay as you go system. All our vehicles are registered with the M50 toll detectors. When you return your campervan at the end of your holiday, we check online and charge you for each of your specific trips through this toll road.

Check if your campervan hire company is charging you up front for toll roads and what your campervan rental company is charging you for road tolls.

And the rest....

Like all rental companies, we have a range of extras that you can choose to hire such as bedding, GPS and outdoor tables and chairs. We also charge for airport transfers. Our rates are return per person and are nominal prices to cover the costs of the transport and will be much cheaper than taxi rates. Our depots are only ten minutes from Dublin International, Belfast International and Belfast City airports and for a family of four a return Bunk transfer is approximately half the price of an airport taxi transfer!
