Northern Ireland is gearing up for 2013 World, Police and Fire Games, taking place across the country this August as our Campervan Hire Northern Ireland depot gets busier than ever!
The World Police and Fire Games began in 1985 where retired police force, firemen and other similar professions come together to compete in the sporting events such as athletics, surfing, cycling, ice hockey, angling and swimming.
The Games are the third biggest sporting competition in the world after the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games with approximately 7000 competitors flying in for the event.
Competitors from all over the world are beginning to arrive on Northern Ireland soil for the event which takes place 1-10th August. With 25,000 visitors expected to attend the exciting events, you can be sure that there is something to interest all sports lovers! Almost all tickets are free for the general public so make sure to get yours before they are all gone!
