At Bunk Campers, (as with most hire companies), we require a security deposit for the purposes set out in our Terms and Conditions. The amount for the security deposit will be pre-authorised from your credit or debit card at check-in.
You are required to have the funds available in your account at check-in to cover the security deposit. The vehicle cannot be released until the funds are pre-authorised.
We recommend that all guests are comfortable with their liability in the event of damage. The amount payable for each Protection Option is based on the number of nights of hire for the minimum rental period. The maximum charge for Protection Options is 15 nights per rental segment.
Windscreen, Mirror and Tyre Protection (WTMP) costs £15 / €17 per day. This optional product covers replacement or repair to the windscreen, external mirror or tyre damage. This can be purchased at the time of booking online or on collection of your vehicle. Windscreen, mirror and tyre cover is limited to 1 windscreen, 2 mirrors or 2 tyres after which normal replacement costs will be charged. It is not available to drivers under 25 years of age or over 75 years of age.
The security deposit covers the cost of any loss or damage from any one incident that has occurred to the vehicle whilst it has been on hire. It is authorised at check-in and will be released providing your vehicle is returned in the condition it was received in. At Bunk Campers, security deposits are authorised in the currency of the hire depot.
In the event of any loss or damage, the hirer is liable for up to the value of this amount. The security deposit is used to fund:

All additional protection options and additional drivers can be added at the time of booking, during online check-in or when you come to collect your campervan. Please note, all additional drivers must be present at the depot for collection and must bring identification and documentation as required and outlined in Driver Eligibility & Restrictions.
